Il cantautore napoletano sarà a Rimini per il concerto del Primo maggio e intanto sta lavorando alla versione inglese del musical «Peter Pan»
È iniziato il conto alla rovescia. Domani 1° maggio, Edoardo Bennato canterà dal vivo in piazzale Fellini a Rimini: «Sarà un concerto spettacolare. Daremo buone vibrazioni a chi vorrà a sentirci. In occasione della festa dei lavoratori, ho deciso che parlerò dei bagnini romagnoli perché sono sempre pronti a rimboccarsi le maniche, sono reattivi e propositivi. Non si danno mai per vinti e secondo me sono un esempio di modo giusto di lavorare».
L’evento potrà essere seguito in diretta streaming su cheyenneradiosound.it, oltre che sulla pagina ufficiale Facebook dell’artista. Ma le buone notizie non si fermano qui. Il cantautore napoletano ci ha svelato che dopo cinque anni da «Le vie del rock sono infinite», tra pochi giorni tornerà in studio per registrare il suo nuovo album: «Saranno 15 brani inediti. Il primo singolo uscirà a fine agosto, mentre l’album arriverà nei negozi in ottobre».
Ma c’è un altro progetto al quale Bennato sta lavorando. Dopo il successo del musical «Peter Pan» l’obiettivo è conquistare a New York: «Stiamo già adattando i testi in inglese e sono convinto che la nostra versione rock del musical possa piacere anche a Broadway».
Tra le canzoni in inglese, ci sarà anche uno dei suoi successi più famosi: «Viva la mamma», dedicata a sua madre Adele, scomparsa 20 anni fa: «Questa canzone è un inno alla femminilità delle donne come lei, una donna forte, concreta. Purtroppo lei non c’è più, ma mia figlia Gaia, 9 anni, me la ricorda molto». E per finire, Bennato ci ha voluto fare un regalo: ci ha dato in anteprima il testo in inglese di «Viva la mamma» («Hooray for mommy»).
